Healthcare Around the World

Despite spending more on healthcare than any other country in the world, the U.S. ranked 42nd in life expectancy at birth compared to 224 other countries. Japan, Switzerland, and Germany are all ranked higher in life expectancy and spent significantly less on healthcare. The focus of this blog is to uncover the differences in strategies used by healthcare systems in countries with lower costs and higher life expectancies than those in the United States. In addition to analyzing technological strategies used in other countries' healthcare systems, I want to look at lifestyle habits, insurance plans, and government regulations that could contribute to higher health outcomes.
